These policies help us keep our community safe, inclusive, and fun. By using our facility you agree to follow these policies. If you need clarification or accommodations, contact us at tickets@dccclimbing.org.
General Rules
- Signed waivers required prior to climbing.
- Closed-toe shoes and shirts required; no bare feet on mats.
- Follow staff instructions. Harassment or abusive behavior will not be tolerated.
- No food on mats. Water in closed containers allowed.
- Use appropriate language and maintain a positive environment.
Age & Supervision
- Under 13: parent/guardian must supervise in climbing area.
- 13-17: may climb without parent present but require signed waiver by parent or legal guardian.
- 18+: may climb independently with signed waiver.
Safety & Behavior
- No running or horseplay; no climbing above the top of the wall or on non-climbing structures.
- Do not stand under climbers; be aware of others when falling.
- Report injuries, damaged holds, or hazards to staff immediately.
- Spotting is encouraged for bouldering but is not a substitute for safe landing awareness.
- Climbing is inherently risky, climb at your own risk.
Bouldering Etiquette
- One climber per problem/route area; clear space for others to climb.
- Brush holds after heavy chalk use; rotate fairly.
- Allow others to take turns; be courteous with popular problems.
Youth Programs
- All youth must follow instructor directions; supervisors are responsible for behavior and safety.
- Parents must provide emergency contact info and sign required forms.
- Programs may have additional rules or waivers specific to that activity.
Membership, Pass & Refund Policies
- Memberships are non-transferable. Identification may be required at check-in.
- Punch passes/credits expire per product terms (default: 12 months unless stated otherwise).
- Pre-sale memberships: billing and activation follow the product terms at purchase. Check confirmation for start date and billing details.
- Recurring membership cancellations require 5 days' notice (or follow contract terms).
- Refunds are processed per product terms. Pre-sales are refundable up to opening date unless stated otherwise.
Classes & Events
- Book classes in advance. Some classes require minimum enrollment or instructor approval.
- Cancelations: Please cancel at least 24 hours prior to receive a refund or credit.
- Group reservations may require a deposit to hold the date and time.
Personal Belongings & Vehicle Liability
DCC Climbing Gym is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items brought into the facility or left in vehicles on our premises. Please secure valuables in a locked locker or keep them with you at all times.
Accessibility & Adaptive Programs
We welcome climbers of all abilities. Adaptive sessions and equipment support are offered during posted adaptive hours. Contact us at tickets@dccclimbing.org for accommodations.
Health & Wellness
- Do not climb if you are sick, under the influence of drugs, or alcohol.
- Wash or sanitize hands before and after climbing.
- Report any injuries immediately to staff for assistance.
Code of Conduct & Removal
Staff reserve the right to refuse service or remove anyone who behaves unsafely or abusively. No refunds for removal due to misconduct except where required by law.
Media & Privacy
We may photograph or record the gym for promotional purposes. If you do not want to be in photos, please notify staff at check-in. For privacy inquiries contact tickets@dccclimbing.org.
