Beginner's Guide

Step by Step

Quick, clear steps so your first visit is safe and fun.
Start with the waiver, that's step 1!

1
Waiver & Policies Required: complete before your first climb
Must do first

Before you climb, we need a signed waiver so we can keep everyone safe. This is mandatory for first-timers.

Quick notes:
  • All guests must sign both waivers (parents sign for minors).
  • Arrive 10–15 minutes early to complete forms (if not completed online).
  • Waiver renewals yearly.

Pack these basics, no special gear required for first-timers.

  • Shoes: Climbing shoes, rentals available.
  • Clothing: Comfortable, flexible clothes (no restrictive jeans).
  • Water: Bring a refillable bottle.
  • Chalk bag: Optional, we have communal chalk.
If you're renting shoes:
Rental shoes are free, but not as good as dedicated climbing shoes.

Our intro class covers basics, falling safety, and movement technique. Ideal for first-timers.

Intro Class: 30 minutes — what you'll learn:
  • Simple bouldering technique
  • How to spot
  • How to fall
  • How to read a route
  • Gym etiquette & safety

When you arrive, here's what's where:

Replace this with your gym map / photo
  • Front Desk: Check in, rentals, waivers.
  • Bouldering Area: Low walls, no harness required.
  • Roped Routes: Adaptive sessions / classes only.
  • Training Area: Hangboards / conditioning.
How long is a session?

Our open climbing sessions run during posted hours, day passes are per-day.

Can I drop in?

Yes, walk-ins welcome if capacity allows. We recommend booking for classes.

Are coaches available?

Yes, coaches are available during set class times and for private lessons.

We recommend this order: waiver first, then book a beginner class or buy a day pass, and show up 10–15 minutes early.
